FREE TOOL

Every code block you ever wrote with AI. As files.

Drop your ChatGPT, Claude, Grok, or TypingMind export and get a zip of real code files, organized by conversation, named by language, ready for your editor. Everything runs in your browser.

How it works

From export to source files in three steps.

01

Export your chats

Grab your data export from ChatGPT (Settings > Data Controls > Export Data), Claude, Grok, or TypingMind. The zip or the JSON inside it both work here.

02

Drop it here

The tool detects the platform, walks every conversation, and pulls out every fenced code block along with the language it was labeled with.

03

Download the zip

One folder per conversation, one file per code block with the right extension, plus an index that maps every file back to the chat it came from.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions.

Which platforms does this work with?

ChatGPT, Claude, Grok, and TypingMind exports, as the zip or the JSON inside it. The tool detects which one you dropped automatically.

How are the files named?

One folder per conversation, one file per code block, numbered in the order they appeared and given the right extension for the language the block was labeled with. Unlabeled blocks come out as .txt. An index.md at the root maps every file back to its conversation.

Why do some files come out as .txt?

The AI did not label those fences with a language when it wrote them. They are still extracted; the contents are untouched.

Is my code uploaded anywhere?

No. The export is parsed in your browser and the zip is assembled on your device. Nothing leaves it.

What if I want to search my chats instead of extracting from them?

Two of our free tools do that: the AI Chat Export Viewer searches full transcripts in your browser, and MemoryPlugin's chat history makes your conversations searchable from inside the AIs themselves.
