Convert your Claude export to markdown.

In the Claude web app or desktop app, click your initials in the lower-left corner, open Settings > Privacy, and click Export data. Anthropic will email you a download link (it expires after 24 hours). The zip you receive contains a conversations.json file with your full chat history. That's the file you upload here. Note: export isn't available in the iOS or Android apps.

Claude's internal 'thinking' blocks are excluded, so the files read like the conversation you actually saw. Code blocks are preserved as-is, and attachments are shown as placeholders.

Claude's export includes your full message tree, including edits and retries. We follow the conversation's active branch (the version you'd see in the app), so the markdown matches what's on your screen.
